Living Space:
Bedlington Terriers are quite adaptable and can comfortably live in apartments or houses. They don't require much space but do benefit from having an area to play and move around. A yard is not strictly necessary but can provide them with added stimulation.
Exercise:
They need regular exercise to maintain their health and happiness. This includes daily walks and playtime. Access to outdoor areas is beneficial, but they can also get their exercise needs met indoors with appropriate toys and activities.
Climate:
They are best suited for moderate climates. While they can handle a range of temperatures, it's important to provide protection during extreme weather conditions, particularly in very hot or cold environments.
Grooming:
Bedlington Terriers have a distinctive coat that requires regular grooming to prevent matting. Professional grooming every few months along with routine brushing at home helps maintain their coat's unique texture.
Independence:
They are relatively independent dogs and can be left alone for several hours. However, they do enjoy companionship and may become lonely if left alone for extended periods regularly.
