Living Space:
Pomeranians are well-suited for apartment living due to their small size. They do not require a lot of space and can be comfortable indoors, as long as they receive enough attention and exercise.
Exercise:
They need regular walks and playtime to burn off energy, so access to a safe outdoor area is beneficial. However, they can also get sufficient exercise through indoor activities.
Climate:
They do well in moderate climates, but their thick fur requires protection from extreme heat. In hot weather, ensure they stay cool and hydrated.
Grooming:
Pomeranians have a thick double coat that requires regular brushing to prevent matting and control shedding. Extra care is needed during seasonal coat changes.
Independence:
They generally prefer companionship and can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for long periods. Short durations of solitude are manageable with prior training.
