Living Space:
Borzoi dogs, being large and elegant, ideally require a bit more space than an apartment can offer. They need a house with a yard where they can stretch their long legs and run. While they can adapt to indoor living, they thrive in environments where they have room to move freely.
Exercise:
Borzoi dogs have good endurance and require regular walks and playtime. They benefit from daily exercise sessions in open spaces where they can safely run and burn energy.
Climate:
Borzoi dogs do well in moderate climates. They are not ideally suited for extreme weather conditions, especially warmer climates, due to their thick coats.
Grooming:
They have a silky, long coat that requires regular grooming to prevent tangles and matting. Brushing should be done multiple times a week, especially during shedding seasons.
Independence:
Borzoi dogs are independent and can be left alone for a few hours, but they do value their companionship with people and enjoy having someone around.
