Living Space:
French Bulldogs are well-suited for apartment living due to their relatively small size and low activity level. They do not require a large living space and are comfortable in both apartments and houses. They do not need a yard and can be content with indoor living, though regular outdoor time is beneficial.
Exercise:
While they don't need extensive exercise, French Bulldogs enjoy regular walks and play sessions. Access to a small outdoor area is ideal but not mandatory. Short, leisurely walks and interactive playtime indoors usually suffice to meet their exercise needs.
Climate:
They are sensitive to extreme temperatures, particularly heat, due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure. Moderate climates are best for them, and they should be protected from both hot and cold extremes to avoid health issues.
Grooming:
French Bulldogs have a short coat that requires minimal grooming. Weekly brushing will help keep their coat clean and reduce shedding. Regular cleaning of their facial folds is necessary to prevent infections.
Independence:
French Bulldogs enjoy companionship and prefer not to be left alone for long periods. They thrive on interaction and can become anxious or bored when left alone too often. They are best suited to households where someone is around for most of the day.
